“Fat Dog
for Midterms”
It all started with an episode of Community.
Season 5, episode 6. A throwaway joke. A made-up theme. A nonsense dance.
"Fat Dog for Midterms."
Chang said it.
I heard it.
And something snapped.
From that day on, "Fat Dog" wasn’t just a joke. It was a lifestyle.
I started telling people around me to fat dog.
No more “relax,” just “fat dog it.”
Instead of chilling, we are fatdoggin’.
Weeks later, I searched YouTube for the Fat Dog dance.
One video led to another. And then it happened:
I fell down the thiccest rabbit hole of my life.
Community fandom wiki had a whole fake-real Wikipedia page about “Fat Dog” being a legit phrase from Dickens, Nixon, even the Bible.
Urban Dictionary had multiple entries. Real. Fake. Too real to fake.
A teacher from the show, Dr. Ian Duncan, even posted a definition:
“Don’t sweat it. Fat dog it.”
Reddit knew about “Fat dog.”
At this point, I was obsessed.
I binged Fat Dog Mendoza (yes, it’s a real cartoon. 5 seasons).
Then the algorithm sent me a band called Fat Dog. I listened to every track. On repeat.
I became one with the Fat Dog. I saw the light. It was thicc. It was calm.
So now I’m here.
A humble servant of the 🤙 🐶.
Inviting you to the thicc side.
Whether you're cruising through chaos or nap-pilled on the couch…
There’s only one rule to remember:
